Porridge with Gingerbread Peanut Butter Apple Compote

Cosy breakfasts don’t get better than this. The easiest, and tastiest, way to take your porridge to the next level!

Equipment Needed

Heatproof bowl, spoon, microwave

Ingredients

  • 50g porridge oats
  • 250ml water or milk of choice
  • 1 apple (we used a Bramley Apple)
  • 1 large tbsp Gingerbread Peanut Butter

Method

1.) Mix the porridge oats with the milk or water in a large heatproof bowl. Microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring halfway through, then leave to stand for 2 minutes.

2.) While the porridge is resting, make the all important compote. Peel and dice the apple and place in a heatproof bowl with 1 tablespoon of water. Microwave in 30-second bursts until the apple turns soft and slightly mushy.

2.) Add a generous spoonful of Gingerbread Peanut Butter, then microwave for another 30 seconds to soften the peanut butter. Stir well to combine.

3.) Spoon over piping-hot porridge and enjoy!
